Well, we are still at the hospital, but no baby yet! ;( When I came in last night I was 75% effaced but only dilated to a 1. Ugh. So instead of starting me on Pitocin, they gave me a 12 hour suppository to help the cervix continue to contract and dilate a little bit more first. So, last night and this morning have not been nearly as eventful as I had hoped...
This morning, they took the suppository out, and now I am a three. Yay! They have to let my body labor on its own for a few hours before deciding what to do next. I guess the options are another suppository, I labor on my own, or they further things along with Pitocin. Since last night the contractions have been getting stronger and closer together (about every 1-3 minutes), but it will still be a long day! Hope to be able to post better news soon!

Hi Cami,
Congratulations! Yes I am a grandma now. They put Kat on Pitocin yesterday morning at 5:30 am and she gave birth this morning at 12:20 am. Sorry it takes so long for you guys! I'm excited for you! Take a look at my blog.
i love babies!! i'm sorry that you're in labor for so long. did you get an epidural? are the contractions painful? as soon as i see a nurse i make sure she know that i want an epidural. good thing i got one for noah.
when i was enduced for sariah, i went from 1 to 10 in an hour and she came out right after that. the nurse was like "damn!" am i allowed to say that?
HAPPY PUSHING!
oh and if baby is born on the 22nd, he'll have the same b'day as elijah. that's a good day to be born.
I hope you lucked out and didn't have to have Mag. during delivery. I had preeclampsia with my first child, in August, in Arizona and the swelling and high blood pressure was miserable! I hope everything went well!! Congrats!
