For those of you that have been wondering, I have been in Florida for the past two weeks. My brother in law is away at training for the Blue Angels, so I came to stay with Jill to break up the time.
We have had a busy time so far! Paige turned 10 on the 15th, and we surprised her by blindfolding her and taking her to see Bedtime Stories at a theater where you sit at tables and order food while you watch the movie. It was fun to keep Paige in the dark, and she enjoyed the surprise and the movie.
This past week we had a whirlwind of chaos. Last Sunday Chloe pulled on the computer table and the whole thing came crashing down. Luckily no one was hurt, but we then spent the holiday buying a desk, putting everything back, and getting that sorted out. Then Tuesday Jill got the stomach flu and Wednesday the heater broke right in the middle of record low temps and a overnight freeze warning. Thursday Hannah and I both got the stomach flu, Friday Hannah and I were still struggling to keep food down, and Saturday was Paige's birthday party at the skating rink. Everyone was well enough to go to the party, and we are grateful Paige didn't get sick for her birthday party. Saturday night was a rough night for Chloe, which carried over into a rough night for everyone else, so we were all (adults too) in bed last night by 8:00.
Jill and I are looking forward to a new fresh week! We hope it will be less eventful than last week, so keep your fingers crossed for us!
