Jayden got a soccer ball for his birthday, and has gotten quite busy with it. He just loves anything outside. We went up to Mt Charleston, and here he is wearing himself out before nap, just the way Mommy & Daddy like it!

We have been working with Jayden this summer, trying to teach him some basic skills like kicking, holding his breath, blowing bubbles, and putting his face under water to pick up toys, etc-I did some research and those are the typical kind of skills they teach in a Parent & me class, which is what I found so far is required in preparation for real swimming lessons. We aren't going to put him in lessons yet, maybe next summer. However, we did buy him a groupon for a private swim lesson, and have been copying what the teacher taught him.
He has been living in the pool since his grandparents came to visit, and is about to grow gills! Here are some videos showing off his latest skills.
Yes, he is climbing out of the deep end without any steps or help from Grandpa.
In this last one he's climbing out of the deep end again, but you can hear him say "elbow, elbow, belly", which is how the teacher taught him to climb out of the pool. He loves giving high 5's to his cheer squad.
