26 Weeks & More

Here is my 26 week picture! I am feeling Jr. move around a whole lot more now, which is fun, but I am having a more difficult time getting comfortable. I asked my doctor about some acid reflux I have been experiencing, and he said that it is a common condition during pregnancy, basically where your brain thinks there isn't enough room in your stomach for your food, so.....you know. He gave me some medicine to reduce my stomach acid and assured me it would make me feel a whole lot better, but I have yet to take it so we'll see.And now for some fun pics!

This is a giant stuffed bear that Brian's parents bought for Jr. They just put it in the crib without telling us and so as we were getting ready for bed Brian said "What the heck is that giant bear?" It is incredibly soft and will make a darling picture in the near future. Thanks again!I got a coupon in the mail for Children's Place and so these next two pictures are what I bought. He'll look so stylish in this outfit out by the pool!

The following outfits are some things Carrie brought back from China for Jr.

Both these blue sleepers say "Thank heavens for little boys"

And these slippers are a gift from Paul when he came back from school at BYU-H.
I must say that Jr. is definitely lucky to have so many people that love him already! He'll be here before we know it!

Destiny's Graduation

Just before Easter Destiny graduated from BYU-I. She got her degree in Elementary Ed, and is currently interviewing for positions here in Las Vegas, Houston, Arizona, Anchorage, and Rigby, Idaho. We drove up for graduation, and even though it was a fast trip, we enjoyed visiting with family!

This picture is of Steve & Carrie, Destiny, Bud & Marge, and Kevin.

Congrats Destiny! You have the world at your feet and we are excited to see where you end up!

My Sister's Keeper

We went to the movies the other day and saw a preview for My Sister's Keeper (based on the book by Jodi Picoult). This post is my plug for anyone who hasn't read the book to go and read it before the movie comes out. I loved it. It is by far the best of her books.

My theory is that if you read the book too close to the movie (or vice-versa), then you will most likely be disappointed in whichever one you did second. So, go out and read the book now, before the movie comes out. It's been years since I read the book, and movies are always different, so give your mind some time to "forget" some of the details so you're not too disappointed if the movie is different. I think the release date is June 26, so don't wait too long!

Here is a link to the trailer in case you haven't seen it yet. mysisterskeepermovie.com

Happy Reading!

Space Cadet

Since I've been pregnant I've become increasingly more forgetful. I forget the most random things. I first started noticing it b/c I would misplace my cell phone all the time.

The next big thing was when I misplaced the duster while I was dusting! I was downstairs dusting, and ran upstairs to change the laundry. When I came back down to finish dusting, I could not, for the life of me, find the blasted duster! I looked everywhere. I went upstairs and back down like 5 times because I knew I had it, but couldn't find it anywhere! Finally, I was getting so frustrated Brian came down to help me (he works from home, which was nice b/c he helped me find the duster but I'm sure he didn't appreciate my rantings about the stupid duster). He found the duster underneath the bathroom sink. How it got there is beyond me, I certainly wouldn't have put it there! ;)

This past weekend Brian's sister graduated from BYU-Idaho and so Bri and I made the rounds to visit our family. I was getting ready for bed one night and could not find my pajamas! I dug through the suitcase a million times, emptied everything out, asked Brian to check the car, didn't believe him when he came back and said they weren't in there, checked the trunk of the car myself, and still could not find my pajamas! I remember wearing them the night before, but after that...nothing.
After we got home I got a nice message from my Aunt Donna that said "Grandpa found some of your clothes in the bathroom, what do you want me to do with them?" Go figure. Apparently I left them in the bathroom at my Grandparent's house! And I had used the bathroom after that and didn't notice!

Of course, I wouldn't have done anything that silly. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

6 months!

Well here are my 6 month pics! I have definitely filled out! I tried to paint my toenails the other day and it was more of a challenge than I thought it would be! Ugh.

I took these pictures yesterday and then ran out for a few quick errands. I decided I will no longer wear this tight of a shirt (I even had a jacket on over it) out in public b/c I got lots of "wonderful" inquiries about having twins-and if it wasn't twins then it definitely must be a 14 pound baby in there! Aaahhh, the supportive comments of sensitive strangers.....and I'm sure I haven't heard the last of them!
;)

A little more shopping, and the crib!

My parents came to visit over their spring break, and during that week we did a teeny bit more baby shopping. I already had these items, I just didn't post them yet. And yes, I do realize that my blog is quickly becoming the "Showcase of all things Baby Turner" but that is okay with me!

This is a set from Costco.
Close up it says "I (heart) long hugs".

These four onsies I got for the hot summer days I keep hearing about. The blue striped one says "S.S. Cutie" and then it says "Tugging on Mommy's heart". The Dog one says "Doggone Cute", the green one says "So Happy" and the tan one says "Go Bananas".

But the back of them is what is so cute!

And now, THE CRIB!

My mom and dad bought us a crib while they were here, and dad and Brian put it together. It's still in the middle of the way (kinda), but no worries! That's an easy fix. It's so cute I just love it. The picture doesn't really do it justice. This is the blanket close up. Each color is a different fabric and texture, some corduroy, some really soft like chenille. It's a winner!!

A wonderful sister from our ward offered to throw me a shower in late June so maybe my family and Carrie and Destiny could be here, so it will be a challenge for me to wait that long to finish buying stuff! I'm just so excited-but it's a good thing, it will teach me patience. Anyway, I will start posting things other than baby stuff, you all are probably getting sick of looking at my blog and I apologize, but I am just too excited for my own good.

22 weeks

Well, things have been busy here so I didn't get around to taking the traditional 22 week posed picture, but here is one from around 22 weeks of me cleaning the pool. It's almost getting warm enough to get in the pool. Give it a few more weeks and on a warm day I just might be tempted enough!

This Sunday I will be 6 months, and despite a little dehydration, Chuck Jr. (not his real name, but he kicks like Chuck Norris, who just happens to be Brian's childhood hero...) and I are doing well! He kicks more often and gets a little bit stronger every day! Last night Brian and I officially saw my stomach twitching during an intense kicking session.

My first lesson in Gospel Essentials (on the sacrament) went well; I was grateful for the group discussion and participation. Brian did say it was different to stand and stare at me and my prego belly for that long though. I guess he got a different view than normal. Whatever that means. Anyway, I need to finish this post so I can move on to the crib! YAY!
