It's Official...

Yes, as you've probably heard, we are expecting again, and it's a boy! The story has been requested, so here you go. (Don't worry, it's G rated!)

Late last summer, we were starting to think about when we'd like to have another one, but weren't thinking specifics yet. I hadn't been feeling like myself, I guess, so I was praying to know what I should do. I went to the temple with the YW leaders, and was thinking the whole time about it. I came home from the temple, and the next night, I had a dream that was just an ordinary day, but there were four of us, not three. After my dream I woke up, and was awake for a long time just lying there, thinking about how there was a little spirit waiting for the opportunity to come to our little family. So Brian and I talked about it, and decided to go for it. The next month I was pregnant, and we were shocked to find out my due date....June 21st (my birthday). You can't plan that-it's just more confirmation that this little guy is meant to be!

We are thrilled to be expecting another one, even if it's a little sooner than we would have originally chosen. Everyone is asking if I am glad we are having a boy, and my response is, absolutely! This pregnancy has been completely different than my pregnancy with Jayden in every way, so I figured it was a girl. Brian laughs at me and my pregnant hormonal self, and he'll be the first to tell you that one week I'd say I wanted a girl, the next week I'd want a boy, and back and forth...now he's so glad the guessing game is over so he doesn't have to listen to me flip flop all the time. ;) Of course, I would have been thrilled with a girl, and I would like one, but since these two are so close together I am glad they are both boys. Even though the rowdiness that comes with boys will be new to me, in the long run I am glad they will be buddies!

The technician performing the ultrasound was wonderful, but when she was checking for the gender, she kind of freaked me out a little. Of course, we knew what she was looking for, and I saw it, and said out loud, "It's a boy!" She said, "Now hold on, you're getting ahead of yourself", which kind of startled me. I was dying of suspense/confusion while she looked around for what seemed like an eternity, until she confirmed what I knew I was looking at, and she finally told me I could say it again. Silly lady, don't you know that Mommy knows best?

Here's to the cutest big brother ever!
