Jayden 1 Month

While we were in Utah Jayden turned 1 month old! I can't believe it, he's already growing and changing so fast! It's too fast! He was 10 lbs at his 1 month visit, and I can tell he's continued gaining weight since then. He makes more cooing noises when he's awake, and he still likes to sleep with his arms up by his face.

Utah Trip August 2009

We went to Utah this past weekend and got the chance to visit and show Jayden off to the extended family! Jayden was quite the trooper for being so young. He was a little fussy the day we drove home, but who wouldn't be sick of the carseat after being dragged all over the state?

New Zealand Roomie Visit

While we were up in Utah recently Stacy and I were able to meet up for lunch! It was quick but was really nice to catch up with her and her darling little guy Jace. We had some good times in New Zealand together-remember mattress jumping?

Total Eclipse of the Heart

Every time Brian and his brothers get together they love sharing any and all recently discovered youtube videos. Last night Kevin showed us this one, and it's a good thing I'm not pregnant anymore or I might have peed my pants I was laughing so hard!

Apparently someone changed the lyrics to "Total Eclipse of the Heart" to what is literally happening in the music video. I am seriously sleep deprived, but I thought it was hilarious.

4 Year Anniversary

Thursday was our Fourth Anniversary! Every year we say how quickly time has passed, but it's been a blast so far! We went to dinner to Morton's Steakhouse, debated seeing a show, but decided we were too exhausted to do anything else and went home to sleep.

We had a great time and loved our dinner. I found a new favorite, the Prime Rib. And of course, we had to have the famous Molten Chocolate Cake!

Kohl's Clearance Sale

My sister wants to see what I bought at the Kohl's clearance sale a few weeks ago, so here you go Jill!

p.s. I know Jayden already has a ton of clothes, but in my defense I've made sure to buy all variety of sizes, some even up to 3T. You can't beat Kohl's, especially when it's clearance!

Jayden 2 week update

I can't believe my little baby is already 2 weeks old! There is no describing how adorable he is, and how much we love him!

Here he is sleeping in his carseat. He sleeps very well in here, which I love! Yesterday my mom and I took him to his appointment, and he was sleeping so well we decided to go to eat at Mimi's Cafe and stop by Kohl's for their clearance sale, and he slept the whole time! He slept so well while we were out that I decided to put him back in it that night! ;) He slept the best he ever has that night too! Hhhmmm....
Can you tell that showering was the highlight of my day? Needless to say, newborns are exhausting! Yes, he is already holding his head up. He can hold his head still while being burped!

He was born with blonde fuzz on the top of his head with the cutest strawberry blonde on the sides and back of his head, but I am sorry to say that the strawberry blonde is fading. Right now his eyes are a gorgeous deep blue, but Brian's eyes are a hazel-green color, so we'll see if they stay blue or not.

This is what he is doing right now, while I pay bills and "blog it up", as Brian likes to say. Jayden loves to sleep with his arms up by his face, and we think it's hilarious when he sleeps like this.
"Touchdown!"

Weight update: He was born at 7 lbs 9 oz, at his first week appt he was 7 lbs 6 oz, and at his two week appt yesterday he weighed a good 8 lbs 6 oz! My little guy is growing up way too fast!

My Ride on Brian's Motorcycle

I went on my first official motorcycle ride the other day! I refused to ride it while pregnant, but now I don't have an excuse anymore! We just rode about a mile to Subway, but it was more than enough for me. I'm grateful that I have recovered enough to ride it, but motorcycles are definitely not my thing. Poor Brian got so sick of my screaming for him to slow down (on a mile ride in a residential area, ha ha!) and I think I permanently wrinkled the front of his shirt I was holding on so tight and my hands were so sweaty. Now that I'm a mother I have an excuse to be less gutsy (okay, a chicken...) At least I'll always be able to proudly brag about hanggliding in New Zealand and skydiving in Hawaii!
