FYI, these pics are in sets of two.
This top pic is a profile of his face with a hand up near his mouth. The bottom pic is a front shot of his face. You can kind of see in the shadows where his eyes, nose and mouth are.

It's a boy!

This top pic is our little son all folded over. He is stretching his legs and has folded his legs on top of his body; his feet are right in front of his face. How flexible! Maybe he'll be a wrestler like his daddy...
The bottom picture is after Brian asked the technician to make sure it was really and truly a boy. He wanted to make sure it wasn't the cord in the way. So this picture shows both-the turtle and the cord. Funny guy.
This top picture is his foot. The bottom one is the hand making a loose fist like he is knocking on the door. We can't wait to meet you too!
We are thrilled to know what we are having, but even more important is that everything looked healthy. Brian Jr. (not his real name, but what he will be called until we decide) weighs about 13 oz, which she said was a little bit bigger than normal (which I kind of expected the way I've been eating and the fact that we've been on two cruises), but that he was on track to be between 7 and 8 pounds. She said "no 10 pound baby" which was music to my ears!
It was really nice to have the ultrasound at my regular doctors office so I could meet with both the technician and my regular doctor. I was there for an hour and a half, but I really like this office and how efficient they are. During the ultrasound the technician said she didn't need to call the doctor in to look at anything, which meant that there wasn't anything serious. Then afterwards the doctor came in and said that my appointment was quite boring, and I should keep it that way! We are so excited and grateful for the blessing of a healthy baby boy. I showed my appreciation with some immediate contributions to the local economy, which I will post pictures of later.

Congratulations. I always like finding out what it is cause it kind of seems like something has been accomplished in all the waiting. We can do an arranged marriage now if you want:) Good luck picking out a name. I can't wait to hear more, especially when he arrives. I'm glad everything is going well. Having them tell me that always relieved some worries.
