So I am 19 weeks today, and here is a picture of me all ready for church! According to the poll and almost every single family member, it seems like a boy! We are thrilled either way, but I just think it's interesting to see what people think.
Carnival Cruise 2009
So Brian and I decided to take advantage of a last minute cruise deal out of San Diego. We couldn't turn down the price and decided to really celebrate Valentine's Day this year. We left San Diego for a 4 day cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada. The next three posts are the highlights of our trip. We had a great time doing all things "cruise": one night Brian ordered 4 appetizers and two entrees, we ordered the Molten Chocolate Cake every night and even got the recipe from the chef, and we almost died laughing during the hypnotist comedy shows.

San Diego Temple
After our cruise we went to the San Diego Temple. This temple has always been my favorite (except for Salt Lake for the obvious reason). In case any of you haven't been there yet, I can tell you it is even more gorgeous on the inside than it is on the outside! It is a must see. It's right off the freeway and I am so grateful we had the chance to go. Now I can cross it off my Bucket List! ;)
Ensenada
When we stopped in Ensenada we took an excursion called Taste of Mexico that took us to a variety of places around town and then to a restaurant called Mango Mango for a cooking class. We made pico de gallo, guacamole, tamales and tostadas. It was a lot of fun, except afterwards I had a huge craving for a sopapilla!

I didn't know this but if you leave the avacodo seed in with your guacamole it will keep the avacodo from turning brown. Yummy!

Do you recognize this? It's the Black Pearl! Apparently the studio is going to bring it ashore and turn it into a coffee shop but until then here it is!
The Mexican Flag. This thing was huge. Our tour guide said it weighed 500 pounds and takes at least 30 soldiers to take it down-on a windy day, at least 40.
Catalina Island
While at Catalina Island we mostly walked around the cute city of Avalon. We walked through the city and up to the Botanical Gardens at Catalina Island. Brian is quite the photographer. Although he claims his photography skills are not quite as good as his nunchuck and bowhunting skills!

Boy or Girl?
With my big 20 week ultrasound coming up, I have had some friends comment and ask if I think our little peanut is a boy or a girl. So, above is a fun poll for everyone to make their guess! You have until just before my ultrasound to make your prediction! I am interested to see what everyone thinks! Stay tuned for the big announcement!!

How big is your head?
Funny story about my appointment today. We were chatting with the doctor and all of a sudden he asks Brian "How big is your head?" I guess a question only an obstetrician would think of.
Brian said "I don't know" and the doctor turned to me and jokingly said "Don't you know not to marry someone without knowing how big his head is?" I then told the doctor Carrie's story about how Brian was born with such wide shoulders that he couldn't fit in the little newborn outfit she had picked out to take him home in.
Brian's next comment to the doctor was "I'm just making sure you work hard for your money" and I said "The doctor!!! What about me????!!"
The doctor laughed and told Brian that he'd better have one heck of a present for me for Valentine's Day. Brian mentioned the 4 day cruise we are going on, and the doctor said "Oh that's not going to be enough.....there'd better be something else!"
It's a good thing I still have time to think of what he can get me for a decent push present!
p.s. The doctor tried to find out the gender today but the baby had his/her legs overlapping each other and wouldn't cooperate. So, we will have to wait until my next appointment, which is the 20 week ultrasound. For now, here are the most recent pics of Baby Turner.
The top one is the doctor pointing to the bent legs that are overlapping each other. The head is on the right, looking down.
This interpretation is courtesy of my doctor. He claims it will be worth money someday.

I have had some requests for preggo tummy pictures and since I am 4 months today I thought this would be a good time to start! I have promised my sister and mom to update new tummy pictures every two weeks, so check back often to see my growing tummy!
Paige and Hannah like to hug me and talk to Baby Turner, and today when I asked Jill why she kept looking at my stomach she told me I was "protruding just a bit". Now here's the zinger: At church today I was squeezing past Nate (my brother in law) to the middle of the pew and when I got right in front of him he said "Move that bus!" (You know, from Extreme Home Makeover)

Craft Galore
Jill and I have kept busy with a variety of crafts. First, I finally made the blanket from the extra fabric I bought when Keli and I made Dezi's blanket. I had to take advantage of such cute Hawaiian/surfer style fleece, and I have to keep the Hawaiian memories alive! Side note-I still tell people here in Florida I am from Hawaii ;)
I haven't really washed it yet so it still needs to fray-but you get the idea. (Sorry the picture is sideways!)
We bought metal stars that were on sale and glued a variety of fabric on the different sides (these next two ideas came from makeitandloveit.blogspot.com). Jill made one for Paige's bedroom, and I made a 4th of July star.
Then we also made a carseat cover for my little one on the way (I'll be 4 months on Sunday)! I had a difficult time finding fleece that I really liked because all the kinds I kept picking were very gender specific. I had one all picked out that was definitely girly but I decided to do it anyway because I couldn't find a neutral one I liked well enough. I guess it was not meant to be because there wasn't enough fabric.
Just as well, because we finally found this fleece (which I love) and the cute ribbon (which I love even more). Now I just need Baby Turner to wrap up inside it!
