The Exploreum in Mobile

Here are pictures from our trip to Mobile, Alabama,to a hands-on Children's Museum. They had so many fun activities for all ages. They had an area all about dinosaurs, health and the human body (and we made smores), an area where they created their own roller coaster, and a hands-on area with activities about force, magnetism, pulleys, energy, etc. My favorite was a board that was covered in metal shavings shaped like little haystacks. Each "haystack" would vary the strength of the magnetism so the "haystacks" would dance to four different tunes! I should have taken a short video of it, but I must have gotten distracted by something else...(my 6 month old, maybe???)
Here Paige and Hannah are pretending they are newscasters. They had sample prompt cards, and a weather board so they could see how the weather really gets done against a plain blue wall, with the image cast on it. They thought this area was especially cool, and was one of their favorite parts. Paige interviewed me about a future meteor shower and how I was preparing, if I had brought anything in my house from my garage, and how scared I was. It was so much fun!
They had a fun ocean area for kids 5 & under. Jayden loved grasping all the big balls, especially because he had an endless supply of them! Chloe played with a little bit of everything, including Jayden! Jayden's shirt says "If Dad can fix it, so can I"...We miss you Daddy!
Of course we all had to take our turn here!
Now I'm posted up until like day 5 of our trip here in Florida. More posts to come...

What a fun trip!!! I bet Florida is so nice this time of year (I guess, compared to Missouri - not Nevada).
I don't think I have your email address. Would you mind emailing me so I can add it (amyjenks at gmail.com)?
