So, after picking up our car, we noticed it was squeaking. Wonderful, right? Since we were a good 30 miles from home when the car died, we decided to bring it to the Pep Boys closer to our house rather than driving all the way back. They told us it was our air conditioner, that we needed a new compressor, and quoted us $1300! Brian called a few other places to get some quotes, and one of those places was the dealership. They seemed surprised that our car would need everything that Pep Boys quoted us, so they recommended we bring it in and let them look at it.
We did, and the dealership told us there was nothing wrong with our car! Turns out the belt that Pep Boys replaced wasn't a brand belt so it was a little loose, and that is what was squeaking. So, we paid $40 for a new belt, and now our trusty car is good as new, no thanks to Pep Boys!
On another note, even though we signed the papers on our house last Wednesday, the bank said they weren't funding until today (but don't hold your breath, we've been lied to before), so we still don't have our keys yet. So a house that we were told would be finished in November wasn't finished until the end of December; and even though we had our final walk through December 27th, we still don't have our keys yet!
So, in summary, tell everyone you know NOT to go to Pep Boys, and NOT to buy a home from Woodside Homes. Both are shady, and I am sick of it!!!

I'm sorry... that really bites! Good thing you didn't pay pep boys for the air conditioning! It really pays to get a second opinion...
i can't wait to see your new house when you are in, sorry it has been such a pain! keli has been waiting forever too!
I know how you feel. The stupid waiting game and being lied to but doing everything in our power to make sure things are done on our side is not helping. It's rediculus and I'm sick of it too! On another note we might be coming down to Vegas in May! And one day I just decided to cut my hair.
