On Memorial Day we went down to Waikiki for a Floating Lantern Ceremony. Some musical and cultural groups performed and then a Buddhist Ceremony to honor the dead. People wrote names and prayers on the outside of the lanterns and then let them float off into the ocean. There were hundreds of lanterns, it was really a beautiful sight.
